At the bottom of Rudge Hill, ascending, one may notice, in the winter months, a large rock standing proudly on the hillside. This is situated in the gardens of Rockmead House which is on Private Land.
The Rock itself is a lesser-known granite rock, like most in the area, which sits on the valley side on the edge of the woodland behind Parklands and the grand tor there (link here).
Another one of the many impressive rocks in the Lustleigh vicinity, it has not received recognition until now, when Tim Jenkinson first documented it. It is advised, as previously stated, that you view the Rock in winter to avoid disappointment.
