Grid ReferencesPlease do not submit a request for the grid reference data provided on the website. Given the hard work that goes into researching and carefully collating the data using historical maps, books, magazines and the internet, we felt that releasing it would compromise the definitive integrity of the site. The information changes regularly, occasionally when we revisit a tor and get a more accurate grid reference but mainly when we add a new tor to the database. Early on we found that to release the data required constant version updates of any gpx file or spreadsheet and so decided not to go down this path. We get quite a few of these requests and because of this notice, we will not reply. |
