Inscribed with DS/1854/ (Duke of Somerset), Dave Brewer describes this as The Clove Stone or Saddle Clove Rock. It can be found on the lower north-east slopes of Chinkwell Tor.
The inscription is actually on a small boulder, with another adjacent to it, appearing to have been carved out. This outcrop was dismissed by both Hemery and Crossing in their accounts of the area.
